Chocolate Truffles (with or without CannaButter)
Chocolate makes everything better and these cannabis chocolate truffles are simply divine! I recommend making 2 batches…one with CannaButter and one without so you don’t overindulge with the THC.
Like all these recipes, you can change the quantity of CannaButter increasing up to double in this recipe depending on your wellness needs. Remember, the strength of your CannaButter will determine how potency.
If you need less Cannabis you can substitute regular butter instead of CannaButter.
NOTE: This recipe works very well with CannaCoconut Oil too!
8 oz heavy cream (30%butterfat or more)
2 Tbsp CannaButter
8 oz dark chocolate (72%) chopped
Pinch of salt (optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
1/4 cup sifted cocoa powder for coating
Place the chopped chocolate and CannaButter in a heatproof bowl.
Pour cream into a small saucepan and bring to a slow boil. Once it boils, turn off heat. Add pinch of salt and vanilla (both optional) stir to combine.
Pour hot cream over the chopped chocolate and CannaButter and wait 5 minutes.
Stir cream with a whisk to mix and melt thoroughly but be sure to not whip or add a lot of air bubbles. This mixture should be smooth and creamy.
Cover and refrigerate for several hours until firm.
Using a teaspoon or a melon baller, scoop a small ball of chocolate and roll into a ball using your hands. Place on a plate.
Refrigerate again for 5 minutes to set shape.
Roll chocolate balls in sifted coco powder to decorate.
Store in covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
